Nutrition & Health

For our children to have a healthy life cycle, they must have a nutritional diet. By obtaining healthy food, this will have a positive impact on their their daily activity, including their physical, mental and emotional development.

It is vital for our children to have a healthy snack and lunch at the nursery full of nutrients and vitamins. Therefore we request all our parents to pack for the children healthy snacks and meals and to be fully aware that we have a NO-NUT policy at the nursery.

We are extremely proud to share with our parents that we have a certified nutritionist at Jellyfish Nursery as part of our staff who would love to share with you healthy meal ideas for your children!

Safety Measures

Jellyfish Nursery uses the National Childcare Standards of Qatar to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are met at all times.

The health and safety of our children is the utmost importance to us and so we have in place strict policies and procedures for hand-washing, nappy changing and dealing with illness and the sanitization of our environment.

Health & Hygiene

All our equipments, including furniture and surfaces are sanitized daily by our housekeepers using non-toxic cleaning agents that do not leave any hazardous residue.
A systemic approach to health and safety based on daily health and safety checks and risk assessment, reduces risk across the nursery by guiding staff and visitors in our daily practices.

Trained & Qualified staff

All members of staff are trained on child protection and safeguarding, in addition they are all regularly updated on the current procedures for handling incidents and injuries.
Policies exist for all emergency procedures including emergency evacuation, lockdown and handling of contagious diseases. Emergency drills take place on a monthly basis.

Full-time Nurse

Our setting nurse and clinic is regulated by Qatar Health Authority and the municipality to ensure that all requirements are met. If a child becomes unwell during the course of the day, the child will be kept comfortable in the clinic until a parent or carer is able to collect.

Secure Entry System

Jellyfish Nursery uses a secure system by ensuring that visitors can only gain access to the building after passing by the security officer.
CCTV is fitted throughout the building to ensure that common areas are monitored with direct feed into the nursery manager’s office.
